Celebrating 30 Years: A Night to Remember!
Last Saturday, November 9th, Cantec celebrated a huge milestone: our 30th anniversary! What better way to celebrate than a party with the people who’ve helped us get here! It was a night to honour our journey, celebrate with our dedicated team, and toast the future. From employees to our incredible sister company, SmartOffice, the room was full of faces – both familiar and new – that have all played a part in making Cantec the success it is today. And while we may have turned another year older, we like to think we partied like we were 21.

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Cantec and SmartOffice staff came together, along with family, friends and long-time customers, to celebrate the occasion. It was a night full of laughs, memories, and some questionable dance moves that may never see the light of day again (no promises, though). We wouldn’t be where we are today without the hard work, dedication, and occasional mischief from every single one of you.
Dooley’s Hotel hosted us in style. The food was excellent, the venue was perfect, and the hospitality was second to none. Having started our journey in Waterford all those years ago, it felt perfect to celebrate this major milestone right in the heart of the community that has supported us through the years.
Of course, a party this smooth doesn’t just happen on its own. Huge thanks go to Tina and Orla from Dooley’s Hotel, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best night of celebrations. Your attention to detail and endless patience made everything seamless. Thank you both for keeping us on track (and on schedule)!

A special thanks to OfficeMaster, our very first customer from way back when, who printed our welcome boards, table plans, menus, and table numbers. Having them contribute to this milestone felt like a full-circle moment. Let’s not forget Ballooniverse for transforming the space with balloon bunches. Because nothing says “milestone birthday” quite like a room full of balloons!
We were also honoured to welcome some special guests from Canon, Barbara Margrane and Stuart Miller, who joined us for the celebration. Canon has been a vital partner throughout our journey, and having Barbara and Stuart there to toast to 30 years of growth and success made the night all the more meaningful. Their support, along with Canon’s cutting-edge technology, has been instrumental in helping Cantec become the company it is today.
For everyone who joined in, thank you for making our 30th birthday so unforgettable. Whether you were busting moves on the dance floor or reminiscing on old times, you made the night truly special. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you, and we’re excited to see what the next 30 years hold.
So, here’s to each of you, to our incredible team, and to a future full of new milestones, partnerships, and celebrations. Cheers to 30 years of Cantec!
